Terms of Reference
The Ministerial Council on Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA) Information and Communication Technologies
in Schools Taskforce(ICTST) reports to each meeting of the Council on ICT initiatives supporting the achievement of the agreed
National Goals for Schooling.
Specifically, the Taskforce will:
- provide clear messages and expectations about the use and value of ICT in meeting the National Goals of Schooling;
- collaborate, nationally and/or bi-laterally on digital content, systems and services, policy, standards and operational arrangements;
- develop a framework by which jurisdictions can evaluate and report their progress for implementation of Learning in an online world.
The Taskforce will work collaboratively with MCEETYA Taskforces and Working Groups to leverage opportunities for the use of ICT to progress the MCEETYA strategic priorities.
The Taskforce will work collaboratively with the Australian ICT in Education Committee (AICTEC) and the Ministerial Companies (Currirulum Corporation and education.au) on issues relating to information and communication technologies in teaching and learning.
